I have just opened this account using the link from the MSE page. My existing Post Office account didn't recognise it so I rang Post Office to seek help. They have never heard of the Online Saver 72. Is this some sort of scam?

That'll be why they didn't know about Post Office financial products then, as that number is for NS&I, an entirely separate and unrelated organisation!mandyhucker said:08085 007 007https://www.nsandi.com/contact-usCall us

Thank you so much. I thought that the two were part of the same outfit because the sign up page bears the Post Office logo and mentions the Horizon IT Scandal.0

The signup page for the Post Office account will naturally use the PO logo and refer to Horizon, but none of that links PO to NS&I in any way?mandyhucker said:Thank you so much. In my defence, the new account carries a message which says
'Either transfer money from another Post Office Savings account or set up your deposit via standing order from your linked account. Any regular deposits must come from your linked account.'
Hence why I expected to be able to do just that.
