Lebara roaming in the USA?

Options
Hey, we're going to New York soon, and I currently have a Lebara pay-monthly contract. Lebara support says that Roaming will work in the USA, as long as I buy a roaming add-on, but I've seen other online posts saying it doesn't work in the US. Has anyone successfully used Lebara roaming in the USA (or, even more usefully, in New York), as I don't want to buy the add-on and then find out it doesn't work. Thank you!

I've never used Lebara, but I read on another thread that they've tightened up the fair usage rules on using your phone abroad.

You might want to consider getting a Three pay as you go sim. The USA is a go roam destination meaning you can use up to 12GB of your allowance for free abroad. You can get a 12GB PAYG sim for only £10 which you could just use in the US: https://www.three.co.uk/pay-as-you-go/payg-data-packs

Also worth being clear on what you want to use; just data, data and calls home, or data and calls to international numbers, as you may find 'Roaming included' doesn't cover everything.
