Non toxic and wipeable paint for bedroom?

For any "off the shelf" paint, just ask (or search form) the MSDS which will tell you about the ingredients likely to be hazardous - For the Johnson's paint that I looked up, it contains one ingredient that may produce an allergic reaction. But once on the wall and fully dry, no further risk.Breathable paints are suitable for lime plastered walls - Both of which can help with reducing mould. But the best way of combating it is with ventilation and heat. Insulating exterior walls will reduce heat loss and allow you to keep the room at a comfortable temperature without costing the earth. But for a lot of people, the cost is prohibitive.blackstar said:Thanks all.
Does breatheable paint help alot with avoiding mold in the house?
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

it’ll need repainting every few years anyway if used in a room with kids.2006 LBM £28,000+ in debt.

I like this one but anyone know if it's breatheable?

The paint you linked is just a cheapo version of the Dulux one previously mentioned. Homebase do a similar one for the same price0 -
Anyone know what this thin paper is under the wall paper is? Does it have to come off before painting as it is so hard to remove unlike the wall paper.0

Might be worth leaving it - sometimes you need to put a backing paper up first if the plaster/wall behind isn’t in the best of conditions.2006 LBM £28,000+ in debt.

There are lots of patches where the lining paper has come off. Is it still OK to paint over it?
Also when you paint do you need to paint a special kind of paint first and then paint the colour you want to paint after?0 -
Is it ok to paint over this, its the paint behind the lining paper

Unfortunately as some of the backing paper has come away, that will still be very obvious after you have painted over it.
I would think you will have to get it all off and either paint the wall directly, or hang more lining paper first.0
