Do you leave the autoglym to sit on the tar and then rub it off?, I think it’s just a case of using the product and plenty of elbow grease..1

Never had a problem using WD40. Spray and leave and tar wipes off.

I have a tar remover that works. Not Autoglym though, something cheaper. Still requires a bit of work0

That's what the instructions say but it's watery and runs everywhere.soak a small cloth or kitchen roll in the solvent and place it over the spots so the wet cloth keeps the spot soakedOr just use a cloth moistened with something cheaper- try white spirits, and rub them off- but you will need to re-wax the paint afterwards. Obviously, if paint colour comes off with white sprits - STOP! (you never know with what they pass off as "paint" nowadays, it is barely waterproof)I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Try a claybar and a little soap solution, which you can buy with the claybar.
It kind of plucks the tar spots off into the claybar.0 -
CarPro TarX. Spray on, dwell for no more than five minutes then wipe off. Avoid using in sunlight and I’d not bother using it on a windy day as most of the solution is disappear into the air.Clay bar after. You shouldn’t be claying before using non-contact removers (tar remover, iron fallout remover etc).0
