Reading on here a few days ago can’t find it now, someone recommended this company for a free text service with  a USA phone number. 

I found their app and it seemed ok so downloaded it   

Their first page was a list of hundreds of phone numbers from which you chose one that suited, continue led to a congratulations and confirm page then onto payment. From this I chose the ‘special offer’ for annual charge of £59.99 and proceeded to payment. When this was made and taken up popped sorry that number has been taken by another customer please choose another from an extremely short list none of which were suitable as in not in the State I wanted.  I have not chosen an alternative number and have asked for a refund as I used Apple Pay nothing yet xx and the company themselves are not answering e mails. I am accepting I have lost this money but as I first picked up this reference for this company on MSE just wanted to put in a warning to anyone thinking of using this company.
