That blew my theory out of the window. Congratulations.
Einstein had less theories than have appeared on this thread.
    True.

And as the saying goes, a watched pot never boils!

Pending still. Think I'll check back at end of May
That was the longest I had to wait may 29th 😭
Last year it went in September. Horrific length of time. Had to do nothing my end but wait for security checks to complete.
Did they ask for any additional information whilst you waited that long

After scrolling many forums and reddit posts the only current payment date seems to be the 18th. Could HMRC be releasing on a fortnightly basis due to backlogs and staff issues as I haven't seen any issued for this week. hopefully the next release issue will be the 2nd of May.
That still maybe the case for the 2nd
    I hope so.

I put my return in on the 16 and was issued on the 24th, in the bank about 9 that night

I'm guessing the ones still waiting have been pulled for manual checks.

Nope, none at all. Few years ago I had a surf letter where I sent in proof of ID, address and banking.

Not sure mate, done about 15 returns now, most I've had to wait was a month, and that was a cheque which tool 12 days to arrive after being issued!

I’ve had a letter with my return amount etc …….. the usual letter once you’ve done your return, does that mean it’s ok? Gone through ok etc?
