It means we can fund our ISAs opened in the last 2 weeks or so.
  • Probably not the first person on here to do it, but my 2024-25 ISAs are now fully funded :)
  • Definitely not the 1st.....I got up especially early this morning to fund my 5.4% ISA......I expect someone did theirs at 1 minute past midnight.

Of course you can also now take money out of your flexi ISAs and you've got until 5 April 2025 to put it back in without losing its ISA status.

"Remember, if you pay into your Cash ISA on
a weekend or bank holiday, your money will
start to earn interest from the next working day.
That means a Monday to Friday and not a bank
holiday. You’ll be able to take your money out
as soon as we receive it"
The above is Virginmoney Cash ISA T&C`s.
For those rushing to deposit new money into their new Virgin Money Cash ISA. Best to wait until Monday 8/4/24 before paying into your Virgin Cash ISA especially if you are putting in a large amount from a top paying EA account. You will lose about £5.50 in interest on a £20K deposit.
I do not know what other financial institutions do.
