Just wondering how does eBay or CEX counter this issue? It's filled with tons of phones that people have upgraded and selling. 
Is there a way to check if the phone has outstanding debt?

When you sell to cex they get your I'd and address they will ban you from store and from what I understand the amount you sold the phone to cex for they will then get a debt collector to then chase the amount for Ebay from what I understand won't or do anything unless within there 30 day money back anything after that they don't want to know
