Rubbish dumped into my bin

If it is a once in 7 years event, it doesn’t seem worth getting too cross about it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

Whilst I would agree, the problem is that if whoever dumped the rubbish realises they can get away with it.....................GDB2222 said:If it is a once in 7 years event, it doesn’t seem worth getting too cross about it.2 -

There were bins for the flats above the shops, we did put some of the rubbish we found into a number of the bins. Not filling any one of them, but spreading it around. There was too much for us to take away. I didn't feel at all guilty using their bins, seeing as they were the ones benefitting from not having to look at the litter outside their homes.Make £2026 in 2026

Ok council got back to me offering:
a) prosecution
b) sending someone to pick it up
Chose the second option as I couldnt be bothered with prosecution, especially it could bring problems - who knows who this person is 😠4 -
Residents of flats and some terraced properties are unlikely to have a choice. It might not be a public footpath per se, but many have to be left in the open where the public could access the bin if they were so inclined.jonnydeppiwish! said:Out of interest, where was your bin? We have the occasional bin left out on the pavement over the weekend and it’s a major dog walking area. Full size wheelie bin half filled with dog poo bags when the owners finally take them in.
Though, tbf, if you leave a general waste bin on a public footpath….My Aunt once lived in a block where the bins were locked in an outbuilding. Only the residents had keys, but there were some that wouldn’t bother to lock it once they had put their own rubbish in/taken their bin in or out, so there were windows for any Tom, !!!!!! or Harry to dump waste. Then there would be the neighbours who had filled their own bin, dumping their excess in any other bin they could fit it in.
Glad to hear that the council have done the right thing and will be collecting it.2
