Quick update - Just chased the business center this morning to be told, "ohh these don't appear to have been picked up, could you resend them and mark as URGENT unprocessed documents and give it another 6 weeks before chasing us again"

Very good question.  After some months of advice from volunteers giving freely of their time and knowledge, the only thing we really ask for is some feedback.

Hi All

Sorry for the lack of posts. life kind of got in the way. This is still going, after 1.5 years going round in circles without my case ever being reviewed or going in front of an allocating judge, I have now logged a complaint. So far complaint got acknowledged after 2 weeks and got an email stating they need more time to investigate. now im playing the waiting game again.

You've still got CCJs? Wow that is appalling.

Complain to HMCTS by email and also ask your MP to raise it with the MoJ.

Thanks Coupon-mad. Already got a complaint logged with HMCTS. They did acknowledge receipt, but stated they need more time to investigate. Will give them a couple of weeks and then reach out to my local MP.

Quick update. Have now heard back from the complaints team at HMCTS. They have admitted that my cases did fall through the cracks (being passed from one handler to the next, with no one bothering to check the whole file to find out what is happening). They have advised that they have changed their application process where each case will now have a dedicated handler to avoid situations like this happening again. 

With regards to my cases, I have now been given a dedicated email for a case progression team who will fast track my applications. so fingers crossed, I will finally get my day in court.

At last! 18 months later. Wow. This will be close to two years before you see a Judge.

Just reminding us all that Gladstones had your new address all along but failed to use it:

  Incidentally I had a look through my filing and found that Gladstones did send an LBA to my current address back in 2021.States that they wrote to me at an alternate address, but Experian has now produced a new address. Did not have any details of the PCN, just that the original PCN was £60 and now i owe them £160. 

i admit that i assumed it was a scam and ignore this letter. 

Does this strengthen the case, since it demonstrates that they had an up do date address but still chose to serve on the old address.
