Signed up to Virgin TV, forced to sign an O2 phone contract too

Summer 2023, I signed up for Virgin TV and they made me sign an O2 phone contact too for £25 a month. the phone contract and sim arrived within 48 hours, and I never used it. its still sat in the original packaging. I already have a phone plan.
The problem is that a month later when Virgin installed (quickest possible time for them), there were issues and decided to cancel and go back to Sky. no problem for Virgin, but I was unable to cancel my O2 phone sim contact as it was over 30 days.
Meaning I have been paying £25 to O2 for nothing ever since. But April 24, they put their pricing up, so Im now paying £27.20 for nothing.
Is there any way I can legally cancel it, as they are not providing a service, and the original reason to sign up was cancelled too (Virgin TV).
thanks,

Your phone contract was probably separate from the TV service.0

Thank you for your help, Yes, I believe it was sold separately, but it was also a bundle from Virgin, i.e. you can only get this price if you sign up to the O2 contract. so I was hoping there may be a legal loophole to allow me to cancel it. currently paying for a service I dont receive, and was sold as part of a 'package'.0
