Wilko: faulty kettle

I bought an electic kettle in Wilko one year ago but it has just broken down. However this kettle is covered by a 2-year warranty. As you probably know Wilko went under administration in August 2023. They sent me a link to their web site. This is what I found there:
"I purchased goods in one of the stores prior to the Joint Administrators’ appointment on 10 August 2023. Can I have a refund?
As a result of the Administration and as your issue is relating to a period prior to the Joint Administrators’ appointment on 10 August 2023, we are unfortunately unable to provide you with any refund.
We recommend that all customers check their purchase protection arrangements associated with their debit / credit card (or similar payment method) to understand whether a refund is available via another source.
In the event that you are unable to secure any refund via your original method of payment, you will have the right to lodge an unsecured claim in the Administration estate of wilko Limited.
To do so, please contact uk_wilko_customers@pwc.com providing your full name and corresponding address, and one of the team will arrange to send you the relevant information via letter in order to submit your unsecured claim.
Based upon present information, the expected distribution to unsecured creditors is between 4-8p in the £, but the timing of any distribution is uncertain."
I do not have a chance to get a refund, do I? Or a warranty is provided by a manufacturer rather than a seller? Does anyone know whether it's worth to contact a manufacturer?
Thank you.

A guarantee/warranty is normally provided by the manufacturer but will likely come with conditions.

It completely depends on the terms of the warranty.0

Unfortunately when a retailer collapses so does their warranties (unless underwritten by another company). You can reach out to the administrators but I’d expect a generic response of something like ‘we’d love to help, but the company who you offered the policy is no longer trading’. You can of course issue a claim but that’s going to get you literally pennies on the pounds (I would suspect you’d get maybe 20p if your kettle cost more than £20).You can claim on your insurance if you want (or your credit card through S75 if kettle was over £100 and paid on credit card).1

My 6month old toaster from wilko broke. It went in the bin because obviously they no longer exist. No use trying to claim from administrators there are more important companies they have to pay first. A broken kettle will be back of the queue1
