TalkTalk taking over Shell Energy broadband contract, can I cancel

As per the title, am I able to cancel mid contract if the provider is changing? Does it constitute a change of contract, or will I have to pay a fee based on switching mid contract from the same provider.

thanks!

Are TalkTalk changing your contract materially, or are they just taking over the existing contract?

I think just taking it over, based on the fact they’ve not shared any communications suggesting otherwise.

Afaik, if nothing changes , so no contract extension, no change in the price ( apart from the already built in price increases ) then I don’t think  the transfer to TT from Shell in itself gives you the option to quit penalty free ….were  Shell  a TT wholesale customer ? , so even the underlying network isn’t changing , it was and continues to be be TT anyway , it’s literally just the heading on the bill that will change , no doubt if your router is badged as Shell it won’t be replaced with a TT one …the Shell minimum term should endure, so you can leave TT at the same point you could have left Shell
