I have a Zoostorm desktop computer running Windows 7. It has served me well. Now I have bought a reconditioned desktop computer running Windows 10 (don't think I could adapt to Windows 11 !!!).
What is the best way to transfer the data from my "old" computer to my new one please. All help greatly appreciated. P.S I am not a technical person!
Thanks
I've just setup a new computer for my wife. Her old one was running Windows 10 and the new one is running on 11.
She still hasn't noticed any difference after a month!
What are your concerns about Windows 11 because I have absolutely no issues with it.2 -
The thing I don’t like about windows 11 is it automatically saves data to onedrive unless you know how to set it up initially to use a local account.0

you can uninstall onedrive0

I installed Windows 11 when I got a new laptop about a year ago. The one thing I hate is that it forced me to create a PIN for access, or at least I didn't see any way to skip the request. I'm the only person to use the laptop so neither want nor need that 'protection'. Is there any easy way to remove the requirement for a PIN that doesn't require delving into the bowels of the operating system. Apologies for tagging onto another topic but it may also be of interest to the OP.

I run Windows 11 without a pin and it boots straight to the desktop0

There's lots of options with windows 11
Possibly the easiest for those not too technically minded is to set up an online account , once Windows is installed, create a local account then use that , if you shut down from the local account then once you restart it will log you straight back into the local account (straight to the desktop if you don't set a password)
Never tried this but if you give the local account admin rights you should be able to delete the chappy (r) online account0
