The Old TV I bought myself was nothing to do with D&G I had been paying extra warranty for the TV since 2006 witch included other items that were covered that's why D&G replaced the TV when it stopped working.0

Thank you for your message, I had a tv which I had a problem with, D&G sent someone out to look at and they said that I needed the tv replaced which D&G were the people I had the cover with they use RGB who were the people that got in touch with Hisense to replace the tv, D&G didn't ask me to get in touch with you I did it myself.
If there is any other information you need please don't hesitate to ask me.

So why did it have nothing to do with D&G?0

I bought the old TV myself, and then D&G rang me to see if I wanted to have extra cover for items I had and quoted me a price for the 4 items were washing machine, cooker, fridge freezer, and TV that I wanted cover for and one of them was the tv that I had.0

I did ring them but they said it was nothing to do with D&G as they were not the ones that supplied the TV it was Hisense.0

A quick rummage around for D&G policy terms unearths a document with a provision that ends the contract when a product is replaced:What happens if your product is replaced?https://www.domesticandgeneral.com/_media/DG_Terms_Conditions/WHI_TCWIM_1118_21_WEB.pdf
If we arrange to replace your product (or to pay a settlement towards a replacement), your policy will end immediately. No fee paid will be refunded.
If D&G arranged for OP's old TV to be replaced under these, or similar, terms, then they effectively walk away, and any consumer rights OP has are against the retailer of the new TV (RGB), plus the warranty provided by the manufacturer (Hisense), which I believe will be two years.
So, assuming D&G have informed Brenda that they no longer have any obligations regarding her new TV, she presumably needs to be dealing with RGB as the retailer, despite not having knowingly entered into a contract with them. I suspect that her copy/pasted messages were sent to RGB, so the issue appears to be one of lack of responsiveness from them?
Having said that, it's unclear why her alternative attempts to get the manufacturer involved have been unsuccessful, resulting in them pointing her back to the retailer....
Anyway, sounds like time to complain to RGB:https://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/termsComplaints

I explained back on the first page, this is an insurance claim settled by D&G replacing the TV. (People often use Warranty to mean Guarantee but an extended warranty like this is an insurance policy that covers a breakdown)
It will be D&G that paid for the TV, so Brenda isn't the retailer's customer.
I explained in the post what can be done.0 -
I have complained to D&G who said it was nothing to do with them and I had to get in touch with RGB which I did and they said it was not them that were responsible that it was Hisense I think I will give up now not getting any where with this issue I am so stressed and its now causing me health problems.
Thank you all for your help.0 -
I have been in touch with Age UK, as I don't have any relatives, they were very helpful and they are going to attempt to sort this out for me I have to pay of course.
Thank you for your help
