Open plan

I viewed a house open plan need some advice. So I use my tumble dryer alot and washing machine and it’s behind doors and maybe integrated in new house. We also use a deep fat fryer and the grease and oil hits the kitchen units would semi open plan mean it enters the living room? I know food smells do and washing machine…

There's no way to stop food smells.
In my house, with 3 levels of doors closed, extractor on and windows opened I can still feel the smell of food from the second floor, for at least 12 hours. The kitchen is an extension with its own doors. Imagine in an open plan!
And mind that I never cook smelly food, except meat on the griddle.
