Jet2 Flight Prices

Options
Question for Jet2 frequent flyers:
is there a ‘best time’ to book flight only eg 6 months, 3 months, 2 weeks etc ahead of travel?
Flying to Athens 1 September for 3 weeks, exactly as we did last year (31/8), and with checked bags, seats etc, cost is 34% more. I booked 6 June last year.
Can anyone say from experience whether prices are likely to fall? Or is that as good as it gets?

There's no exact science and the "best time to buy" will vary for each and every flight. Airlines have pretty sophisticated revenue management systems, looks at supply and demand, website traffic patterns, forward bookings, competitor pricing, special events etc.

I would suggest this weekend may not be a great time to book. Long bank holiday weekend that's cold and wet, plenty of people off work browsing holidays online! Might be wrong though.

Personally find Jet2 flight prices aren't always very competitive, they'd definitely rather sell you the whole holiday.

Comparison sites like Skyscanner and Kayak allow you to set up price alerts.
