    Maybe a compromise would be requiring them to arrange within X number of days a firm date to collect, as long as that date is within 7 days of the sale.

    Two items I couldn't give away on Freecycle/Freegle, put them on Gumtree sold the first item for £30 to the first reply, sold the second item for £25 to the first reply for that.
