Need emergency money

The poster stated she wanted money, it's even the title of the post, she even mentioned only having £20 which is why people are assuming she is begging for money. Unfortunately this is a common tactic to get handouts from strangers. The poster has posted previously and been given the same advice before regarding food banks and HSF.Spoonie_Turtle said:
Where were they begging for money? Their post was asking where to turn for emergency help.Purplefoxlass said:
It is a bit cheeky, coming online begging for money, although saying that there is a girl on X who constantly begged for money from her followers, and the next minute she was telling everyone wha she had bought as soon as her PIP landed.Driftingleaf said:Firstly, I didn't come here to be judged by anybody and a cash crisis can occur to anybody. Things are harder now as we all know especially on benefits and try "budgeting" on that if neither of you are on them. I wasn't asking for money, it was the only wording I could think to describe the situation. Heaven forbid either of you get in this situation. I've never gone on social media either asking for money. These replies were not great and the judgy tones either.
As others have said, you need to budget better, it can be done. As a single person in receipt of ESA and PIP, I manage, and have no family to ask for help, and I would not ask friends either.
"Can anybody please help with where I can get an emergency money? … If there's any places to contact for emergency and anybody could advise please I'd be very appreciative."
And just because you can manage doesn't mean your circumstances are the same as the OP's. *That* is a pretty judgemental assumption.1 -
They weren't specifically asking anyone here to give them money. They were asking for advice as to where they could get help from. That's completely different to begging for something.kkkklinky said:

cash is difficult - most other things like food can be got from somewhere else0

I never said they were asking for money from people on the forum, but unfortunately it's a common tactic to ask for advice in the hope someone will give them cash. Like I stated she has asked for similar help before on these forums and been given the exact same advice, she has also been given the same advice(it's definitely the same person, there is an identical post wording exactly the same)on Mumsnet numerous times. In fact 95% of her posts across social media are asking where to get money from, which is why I advised budgeting money better.3

Same happens on Facebook. Posters saying they need things, food, formula household goods etc. there is always one person who steps in saying they will give cashkkkklinky said:I never said they were asking for money from people on the forum, but unfortunately it's a common tactic to ask for advice in the hope someone will give them cash.
