When working out the household income for calculating how much a student would be entitled to for a maintenance loan, is the income purely based on your gross salary? Or does the income include other incomes such as benefits that you may receive, savings accounts etc?
Thanks
Thanks

If it's your child who is the student then the household income they want is you and your partner's total taxable income minus relief at source pension contributions. Any pension contributions made via net pay or salary sacrifice are already deducted from your P60 so you can't deduct them again.jonnypb said:When working out the household income for calculating how much a student would be entitled to for a maintenance loan, is the income purely based on your gross salary? Taxable income includes earnings/sick pay/maternity pay, savings interest, certain benefits which are taxable etc.0
