@GreenBucket24 are you in the US by any chance? We've got rubbish weather forecast where I am too, rain rian and a little bit more rain. so no gardening planned at all. I might wander round the garden to look at things I can change or tidy up [ and my pots are getting out of control, not that there's anything in most of them, just that I seem to be aquiring them willy nilly. We are building another Goth Box [ open sided shelter that can have closed sides] though so maybe we'll do some designing of that and I need a brush up on rocket stoves too.
I've potted on my big stuff now so I'm waiting for the little stuff to get bigger, there are some more heuchera to do, a creeping thyme I want in a pot hanging artistically over the edge, and some oregano, and there's a pot of horseradish to find a permanent home which will involve moving my compost bins.
@-taff, Thanks for asking, however, I am gardening in UK - where we live. Everywhere, we are hearing a rubbish weather, we are experiencing the real climate change whether we like to accept or be in denial.

While raining this morning, went shopping instead. This afternoon, went walking around the garden to experience serenity and appreciate the beauty of the new growths of our perennials. Was relaxing indeed, and when i got in our CanopyGarden, was truly surprised with the growths of the 'Bleeding Hearts aka Dicentra spectabilis ... see below a couple of pics ...

Definitely, can relate to so many things to do in the garden. Hope the rain and wind will stop soon - wishful thinking i guess! But just acclimatise ourselves as they say. Yeap, those garden tubs of different small to medium sizes ... haven't figure out how to make use of them besides as seedling pots.

I do have heucheras, creeping thymes, apple mint, etc., to take care as well, and top-dress the herbs pots. And more to clear out and repotting the root-bound ones.  Cheers for your Easter Weekend gardening tasks.

I did manage to get an hour out there today. Have cleared the dead stuff around the pond so can start hacking out the roots of the Persicaria that is trying to take over The World! 😉

@KajiKita, indeed it felt good to be out in the garden. Which Persicaria do you have?
I use most of my Persicaria in a multi-plant arrangement pot, as cascader. They look lovely!

Enjoy your Easter Weekend gardening tasks as well :)

@KajiKita, thanks for sharing the link. I love red-flowering tall plants. Do they go tall? it looks like they are tall plants, are they? or short but were photographed closely to appear like a tall plant.

@GreenBucket24, pretty tall, c. 1.5m or so I would guess. They spread a bit but are easily dug out.

Thanks for the info. I will check in the garden centre next time I will go there. I have several flowering plants with pinks, creams, blues, and yellows but don't have tall red ones.

  • Great sunny day today, have completed successfully some of the delayed tasks in our West Border.

  • All borders were completed during the fantastic weather during Easter Weekend. My next task when the sunny days will come, is our strawberries bed, which will need a real make-over. According the forecast, the tasks can resume next weekend as the rainy days have returned  :disappointed:
