Car finance claim

I made car finance claim and my finance company was in your tool so the email was sent direct from the claim tool. I have not received even an auto acknowledgement. My finance company (toyota) are not on the recent list of companies with their expected response timescales. Anyone know why they are not on the response timescale list? Thanks

No responses required, I received response yesterday (basic response acknowledging claim and informing me a further 28 day timescale), its taken 6-7 weeks just to receive that

Yep, this site is trying to whip up the masses into a blood frenzy sending thousands of the silly stock letter a day when the FCA has put all complaints on hold until at least the end of September. Companies weren't prepared for the onslaught and dont want to invest heavily in new processes/systems whilst the FCA is still deciding what it thinks companies should be doing.

Just waiting for the complaints when companies start charging more to recover these unnecessary letters this site is causing.

You will not hear anyting in 28 days.    The FCA has suspended complaints until after September.  Everything is on hold.

Accordingly, the proceedings are currently stayed until 25 November 2024
  • I am also in the same boat. Sent my claim to Toyota on the 6/6/24 and still haven’t heard anything not even an acknowledgment email.

Will this still be looked at? Or do we just keep sending emails? Is there another way to get their attention?

just want to know that something is being processed or looked into. We should be given a time frame on their half to know what’s happening :(

You don't need to keep repeating the complaints.

Nothing is going to be looked into whilst the FCA suspension on DCA complaints is in place.   That suspension lifts in December 2025 unless it is put back further (due to legal cases going to appeal).

  • Close brothers finance claim.... apparently they have destroyed my contract, after 6yrs that's what they do but It was at least 8yrs ago all I know is that I definitely had finance with them. The only details of the car is that it was a peugeot 407 estate silver! Can't remember the registration and don't have documentation. I think I've found the dealer I'm going to call them but is there any other way anyone knows to find me or the car.
