Switching from Lloyds to Ulster, letter from Lloyds

I opened another Lloyds account to use to take advantage of the Ulster switch bonus. The Ulster account is now set up but the switch hasn't come through yet.

I got a letter from Lloyds saying:

”We have received a request from your new bank to switch your account away from us.

Unfortunately we are unable to proceed. If you would like to continue with this switch you will need to contact your new bank directly.”

Is that Ulster being slow? I had to send off a signature to Ulster a few days ago so that could be what Ulster were waiting for.

    Sounds like the debit card number for the Lloyds account was not provided to Ulster when requesting the switch.
