DCA Car finance claims - Porsche Financial Services pre VW Financial Services takeover

Hi all,

I had (PCP) finance on a Porsche between 1998 and 2012 with Porsche Financial Services, so the contract was initiated before PFS were taken over by VW Financial Services.

My question is, would it still be valid to see if there is a DCA query (and claim if DCA applied)?  I know Martin's guide says you can't claim if the finance provider isn't still trading, but I'm wondering if both liabilities as well as well as the assets would have moved over to VWFS when VW took over Porsche?  I'm wondering if I could/should give VWFS as the provider in the MSE tool?

Is this one finance agreement over a 14 year period? If so, I suggest you familairise yourself with the period covered for any DCA claims. Contracts taken out before April 2007 are nit in scope.

This issue is yet to be judged by the FCA, Sometime in Sept is when they will say if there has been mis selling.
