Car insurance Employer Indemnity Letter

I have taken out a car insurance policy with business use included with LV.
It was taken out on the basis they would issue an Employer Indemnity letter indemnifying my employer from any claims arising when using the vehicle for work.
Several LV staff did not understand what this is but when explained and referred to a manger they said it would be issued.
This is a standard requirement from every employer yet LV are now refusing to provide such a letter.
Has anyone experienced this and what did they do? It's bizarre considering LV being a mainstream insurer.

I've never heard of it either. Whenever I have had to use my own car for business purposes, the requirement has always been that I provide evidence of my driving licence, mot, tax and insurance certificate that shows I am covered for business use.user1977 said:

Yup, I've been asked for DL and prove of insurance but never a letter of indemnity.tizerbelle said:

It is an unusual request. I've only seen it once and it was the civil service requesting it.
If LV won't provide, looks like you'll need to find another insurer who will.0
