Looking at those figures now I realise that lump beats chunks every 2 years, and chunks beats lump in between years so maybe this year will be my year
and it all averages out in the end anyway. 0 -
My return has been less than 2% over the past year and less than 3% for the wife. She did really well for the first few months then they got tired and finally went to sleep this last month.Albermarle said:Myself and the wife have max holdings (100K). We both got zilch this month so we are cashing them in after the next draw.
Anything can happen in one individual month. What has been your average return over the last 12 months?
We are cashing them all in very soon in order to buy our dream home but if I was going to hold on to them, I would seriously consider selling and re-buying as has been suggested from quite a few holders.
My only consolation is that my brother-in-law (50K holder) won 5K earlier this year.

Many people need to get below average results so a few people can get way above average results.Brunokid said:

A sibling winning £5k wouldn’t be any consolation to me 😂 You either got a slice or are a better person than I am!! Probably the latter….Brunokid said:

Also known as confirmation bias, i.e. those who got a better return after refreshing their bonds (and of course there'll be plenty) will be more likely to share their story than those whose return decreased (also plenty)! Fundamentally, doing so makes no difference to odds of winning, but there are many superstitious folk out there who are more than happy to equate correlation with causation if they change and their luck improves....Brunokid said:
