Help Choosing New Business Mobile...

Hi All,

I am looking for a little advice on choosing a new mobile phone as I am currently due an upgrade.

Currently I have a Sony Ericsson K800i, and can say for sure that this is the best and most capable mobile phone I have ever used. I am slightly biased in this as I am a Sony fan, but this does not mean suggestions should be restricted to this brand, even more so when I can find nothing in their current line up that appeals.

Things which I am now looking for in a mobile phone:

Long battery life
Email support
Bluetooth
Reasonable camera, preferably with xenon flash
Laptop connectivity for mobile internet
Quad band

Obviously considerations on size, style and wow factor (I am a little bit of a show off).

Phones I have in mind at the moment:

Samsung G800
HTC Tytn II / T-Mobile Vario III
Nokia E51
Nokia N82
Sony Ericsson K850i

I would greatly appreciate any ideas, suggestions or advice.

Cheers, John

    htc all the way
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
  • The only thing that puts me off with the HTC Tytn II is the size of it. I was hoping the S730 would come with GPS as originally touted, but it was pulled. The HTC S730 would have been ideal.

Personally I am leaning to the Nokia E51, but it does mean downgrading my current camera feature.

    htc touch is great

get a great gps deal here http://www.play.com//ProductOutline.aspx?title=3513965&r=MBLS £24.00 free delivery, quidco & source a play.com discount code & 12 months sat nav

HTC for business, symbian for pleasure ( u cant measure ), the support for business applications on Windows Mobile is so much more than symbian ever will have in the next few years

are you T-mobileing it I guess ?let me know, can give you recommendation on what T-mobile phone for business

integrated GPS is !!!!!! dont be SOLD on it!, N95 & others have failed me big time, still in its infancy so maybe in couple years it will be too standard as per symbian - i use my Navman Spin100 GPS unit with removable rechargable batteries ( kindly bought NEW & cheap off a MSE'r who had it surplus to needs ), if needs be i can buy a pack of AAA batteries in emergency but I carry 3bats in unit & 3 spare in glovebox as was much cheaper at £8 for 6 rechargables & charger at Argos than the £20 Navman wanted for a car AC plug, cheaper with rechargable batterys than disposibles & im saving the planet chemical/battery waste! and I can actually use it outside the car LOL, cheeky beggars Navman ( well what do u expect from an Kiwi company ! ) and I learnt the hard way with TomTom Blutooth GPS integrated batteries, great in car !!!!!!ed with no supply or battery power ! - a £100 learning process at that ( not MSE at all )

yes i know my carbon footprint for recharging isnt the best but its a balance to filling skips with old batteries and/or the cost of processing normal batteries recycling

  • I think htc tytn 2 beats others. Did you look at nokia E90. Seems to have all the features of tytn 2.
