Something weird is going on with my car insurance renewals

One of our car insurance renewals went up by £20 since last year (Peugot 208). The other went up by over £200 (VW Touran). I've tested it with 3 comparison sites and it's pretty consistent.

Same address on both cars, 24 days left on the £200, 25 days left on the £20. The only other difference is that my partner has had a speeding fine since last year. She's main driver on the £20 increase 208 and I'm the main driver on the £200 increase Touran.

I may need to check to see if I can add a second car on some of the £20 increase quotes. Is there anything else I should or could do? (Aside from quadruple check the quotes which I will do.)

If the insurer has had bad claims experience with insuring VW Touran's then there's little one can do but shop around.

Thanks. Maybe it's just that and we've got lucky on one of them.

I'd say that's very lucky on the 208. My Peugeot 2008 went up by 57% last month.

My insurance renewal went up by 43%. Used comparison site and got it with Aviva for £4 less than last year.
