Letter from Vars. Not me or my bike on the photo.

Hello. I just received letter from Vars claiming I drive off not paying for fuel in Leicester. I was never in Leicester in my life. It is not me or my bike on the photo as well. What do I do in this situation?

Reply and tell them they have misread tge numberplate. Must be similar to your bike?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Photo they provided shows from of the bike. So no reg plate on the photo. No it is not even similar.0

Ask them to provide proof it was you - ie your registration plate. That seems a first logical step.
Seems odd the letter doesnt even mention it?1 -
The letter mention it. On the top there are my bike specifications with reg number as well. But it is not me and not my bike

For now I emailed them I wasn't in Leicester. It is not me or my bike on the photo. Will see what they will say about it.0

If the date of "drive-off" is recent, you may want to send a SAR to the garage and ask for a copy of the CCTV recordings covering the time of the "drive-off".1

It states on the letter 31.01.24 16:16. I'm wondering where they even get any reg plate number because there is not one on the photo0
