brilliant, that really helps, so what happens/do I do with the remaining 560 shares?
Sell another tranche after 6th April. CGT Allowance is then £3000 so you can sell approx 150 shares, depending on the price at that time. Also give some to your wife and use her CGT allowance.  That's another 150 shares gone. The remainder you could keep till the next tax year, but you run the risk of the shares falling in value over that time.
  • What’s the process for transferring to my wife? If you have a link that would be great.
if I just wanted to get the money out next year after getting rid of the £6K this year for example what would be the CGT liability then?
sorry for all the questions, I’ll stop soon I promise 🤣

How to transfer - as stated previously it depends on how you hold the shares - as certificates or in a nominee account?
https://equiniti.com/uk/help-and-support/transferring-shares/transfer-shares the link may help if your shares are with Equiniti.  Could you ask a colleague or your HR department? You're probably not the only one in this situation.

I don't have enough data to do that calculation for you.

I'm going offline for a week; there are others on here who could help.
