Low and behold, I send a chase email this morning and got the usual holding email back. At least I've had a response. Now a waiting game.1

I'm in exactly the same boat with Ford Credit Europe. I followed the MSE guidelines and submitted my first email on 8th February 2024. Also sent 3 further chaser emails with absolutely no response. Any advice please?1

After reading this on the Ford website maybe no news is good news in this case.....
"If you have an eligible DCA complaint, you will not receive a final response within the usual 8-week deadline. the FCA have extended the deadline and as a result, most eligible complaints will not be answered until 25 September 2024 at the earliest."1 -

Don't read anything into it. The FCA suspended the complaints process to allow it to look into the issue and consult with lenders and decide
a) How was DCA used (it could be used positively, negatively or on a case-by-case basis - e.g. during a promotion for a new vehicle). i.e. DCA could be used to inflate the rate but it could also be used to reduce it. Also, the dealer may have it available to use but didn't necessarily use it.
b) is there actually any wrongdoing?
c) if there is wrongdoing, how should lenders deal with cases
Until the FCA report is issued you do nothing but wait. The rumblings are that it will be put back from September as the Data Protection Act is causing issues with data retention and, therefore, reporting the details to the FCA, let alone actually having the records to deal with consumers.
