EON Electric Economy 7 Variable - Looking to Change Tariff

Can you see E7 Apr rates.
Rates are currently c15p off peak in EM / E7 DD - and SR dropping c4.5p - how do those fixed rates compare to Apr SVT rates ?
My E10 off peak dropped c4.3p - if E7 the same would take to 10.7p.
And CI forecasting another c14% to come on Jul 1st. Another 4p plus on SR pricing.
Anyone got their EM E7 April actual splits rather than my guess ?0 -
vienna28 said:All the previous prices i mentioned are amongst the numerous list of E7 plans when i go for a quote directly on the EON website. This is another plan i'm being quoted:
Next Pledge Tracker 12m V3
Our Next Pledge 1 year tracker tariff guarantees that your prices will always be £50 a year lower than the Ofgem price cap*. We'll update your prices automatically every three months. The prices that you're being quoted on are effective from 1 April 2024. The prices before this will be higher by around £4.60 a week, for an Ofgem average customer.
ElectricityDaily standing charge 55.72p Unit rate 30.54p per kWh (Day)10.10p per kWh (Night)Exit fees (if you cancel this tariff before the end date) £25.00
But it's not a fix- it will track Apr and CI forecast drops in Jul - but will also track the Q4 forecast rise (c1.6% on gas, c6.8% iirc on sr electric)
With prices forecast to drop and many traditional fixes having high exit fees (increased upto £150 per fuel in last year - higher than pre crisis) - ML and the MSE article - updated recentky as was ML on pledge comment in the article still ppears quite favourable towards it as an option.

Just noticed it's been updated again today.

Yes thanks, well that doesn't appeal to me then.I think my storage heaters are 30 plus year old clunky "heatstore" storage heaters and i'm presently on "agile" but agile is okay but isn't perfect for storage heaters because only certain hours throughout the night may be reasonably priced so you are limited to which hours it would be wise to put your storage heaters on. Also a week or so ago it was the afternoon which was cheap on agile which was no good for storage heaters and hot water that can only be used between 12.30am - 7.30am.
So i am always on the lookout for attractively priced E7 night rates. The 2 year EON 10p night rate fix does appeal to me but i will hold off for now and see if anything better comes along in the next few months.0 -
vienna28 Just in case you not aware plenty of £50 credit Eon Next referral links elsewhere.

Typically you need to be using 33% on night rate to make it worthwhile, though E7 tariffs do vary hugely between the two registers.0 -
