That is almost exactly the same laptop I am typing on now!
It is excellent. Mine even has remote control for watching DVDs. I absolutely love it.
Mine was priced at £599 from PC World, who are under the same ownership as Currys, so £499 is not bad.
If you go via quidco you get 5% cashback.
When you get it, buy some blank DVDs and create a recovery disk. You don't get recovery disks with it but you have the option of creating your own.
I say DVDs because you only need 1 or 2 of these - you would need 9 CDs to achieve the same task in CDs
Just one quick question about this if you don't mind! Nowhere on the spec can I see any details about wireless - is yours? Is this fairly standard now on this sort of spec laptop? All the other laptops we looked at specified that they were, and the wireless-ness seemed to be linked in with the processor.

It is wireless.
If you enlarge the view on the site and look at the front edge on the LHS you can see the wireless switch, which turns the wireless feature on or off.
