Make a claim, she has to prove her side and you get dispute her evidence with your own.With what you’ve said you have a decent case.0

@NusNet
I would be tempted to send her a letter before action stating that she has 28 days to repay the sum of £985, and that if she fails to do this, you will be taking her to court for the full amount, as well as £XXX which is the amount she fraudulently spent on your debit card despite her being told not to as you were not a couple).
Make it clear that if she pays the money within the 28 days then as a gesture of good will you will not seek the additional money owed nor press charges against her for the fraudulent use of your card.
The other option is to just forget the money. Or perhaps kidnap the cat???Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1
