    was understood to mean that the income post-September matters, when you really meant that the income from the previous year matters.
    Yes because the 2023-2024 award should have used the actual income from 2022-2023 to calculate the amount, unless the claimant advises otherwise.  Hence in the normal yearly cycle come the following April it recalculates how much it should have given you dependant on the wage.  Its a massive defect in the system in my opinion, you are advised to inform them if your wage raises more than £2500 within the year.
