I currently have nearly £600 in credit. I got an email saying they are going to
reduce my direct debit from £180 to £128. When is the best time to ask for credit back?

Martin says if it’s 18% below the price cap it’s worth considering. My eye is on keeping it cheap for next winter. They estimate me to be £139 a month.

Do EDF charge exit fees if they have a cheaper tariff after I fixed?

I could not find Martin’s crystal ball gazing prediction for July. Anyone know what that is?

    Hello,

Im locked into an EDF tarrif from January, they sent me an email and pushed me into accepting it, basically locking me into it for 12 months, it has exit fees as well.

I saw the  March tarrif 2 days ago, so went ahead with it, i thought the exit fees wouldnt apply moving from edf to edf, they did £75 each for gas and electric, so i emailed them and said no within the 14 day cooling off period.

In future im switching to a provider with no exit fee tarrifs.

Current version as per thread title has no exit fees if subsequently change to another EDF fixed tariff. ( Says that on all press releases, as well as on quote page for new customers  - Exit fees apply, unless you move to EDF fixed plan

Around April time depending on the weather (a cold March and early April would see it better towards the end of April).

Is that real credit or is that pre-billing credit?
are you Kraken or the old EDF billing system (Kraken has account numbers A- whereas the old starts 67).  Kraken bills monthly so the real credit position is clear.    The old system was 6 monthly and would build up virtual credit from your direct debits but it wouldn't deduct use until a meter reading and bill was produced.  It could create a false view of the real account position.

I am on Kracken, so get billed monthly. I did change my DD date to 1st of the month a while back. My bills come out on or around 21st of each month.
