First Anniversary First Post
Hi All,

My wife's sim only contract with Vodafone expires today and is going up from £12 a month to £17. We've looked on the MSE website for deals and found one which is £95 a month up front for the iPhone 15 and then £35 a month for 2 years. Went onto MyVodafone and the best they can offer is an 8GB plan (which would be enough data for her) for £40 up front and £41 a month on a 3 year phone plan and 2 year airtime plan. Used the live chat to discuss with them directly and they said they can't price match 3rd parties.

What is our next best step? Vodafone is our best coverage and we really want to keep the number ideally, so do we take out one of the 3rd party deals and then transfer the number, if that's possible?

Thanks!

Keeping your current number is easy if you want to switch away from Vodafone. The first thing you have to do is request a PAC number from Vodafone.

Then, when you take out a contract with a new provider, you can give them your PAC number and your existing mobile number will be transferred over. It will take 1 working day to transfer and is an easy process.

The best phone deals are reserved for new customers. It very rarely pays to stick with your current provider and there is no such thing as being rewarded for loyalty.

check out voxi it is voda
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Mobiles.co.uk crops up quite often. They act as an introducer so you can sign up to a new contract with your existing provider through them and not miss out on the best offers. Otherwise you may need to temporarily leave vodafone and rejoin. Lebara and asda use the vodafone signal so you should get the same reception. You may need to leave for a month but usually you can leave and rejoin a network in 3 or 4 days and become a new customer again.
