Hi,  I am currently in the process of a formal complaint with McCarthy Stone over a leak that has already been repaired twice, but is still not fixed.  It is over 4 months since being reported to their Buildings Team again, and was raised as a formal complaint over a month ago.  Has anyone else had a similar experience of their complete lack of communication??  Their formal procedure is an absolute farce, but we can't raise it anywhere else until they have completed their process??  Any tips on how to get some action from them would be much appreciated.

Following the complaints procedure would be a good step, but you can say you’ll take the, to the small claims court and recover the costs if they don’t fix it within x days. That’s worked for me pretty well in the past.
  • At Stage 2, but have received no report from Stage 1 and have had no communication in over 2 weeks, despite several emails being sent.  I am not sure where to go next - just want the leak fixed!   There has been no payment to claim from small claims, as this should be included in the service charge.
