I have popped to Mozza's to top up on teabags and grabbed a load of YS fruit and veg. Plus my favourite coconut yoghurts. Going to be a coconut day, as I am doing a basa and coconut curry later.
I got a panicked nudge from my Noom app, so I've logged back in, and maybe this time I'll pay attention to the colours.Keep reading books!

Budgets updated to here
@PipneyJane hope the chemo isn't making you feel too poorly, look after yourself x
My budget is totally blown this month - I've been replacing a lot of stock items as I had some extra money and also it would seem I've been using my spares of things and not replacing them for the last few months, which has probably been why I've been doing so unexpectedly well on my budgets! As I've mentioned before, I'm more focussed on trying to eat healthily and losing weight than on cost at the moment (well, there's obviously a limit, but you know what I mean!). Getting closer to the 2 stone lost mark slowly but surely
Thank you everyone for the hugs re my little budgie Delta. I ended up reorganising my living room a bit so that it wasn't so obviously a change in one place. I still find myself saying goodnight to her as I turn the living room light off and shut the door each night though - we had a very established nighttime routine! I'm trying to say it in my head now though but it's a pure reflex after years of habit.

Few spends from last weekend. Paying with cash is working as I get paid next Friday and at this point in the game I am normally spent up. But I have £ surplus still in my account - yay!
Spent £87.90!
Thurs £54.05 Co-op & £16.21 farm shop [nice bacon / sausages & black pudding]
Fri £17.64 Sains
Feel sad about Sains shop Friday. Hungry lazy and bad planning!
Am over budget but feeling OK. I did not cave in with my Halifax cashback Waitrose offer [i let it expire] and I shredded a load of sains bonus nectar point coupons ... simply not worth the points to do the spend
New spend £263.60 / £250
£13.60 over spent - feels good typing that as at least I know- Grocery Challenge: April £263.60 / £250

A Sainsburys shop of £29.50 today including gf bread, ice lollies for poorly DH, soap, deodorant, a ready meal (DH fancied it), eggs, pineapple, melon, grapes, lettuce and a few other bits. Its amazing how quickly it all adds up. We have bust our budget for April already but if I am honest I am surprised we made it this far. We shouldnt need shopping until next week now when we will be half way through the month. We had loads of people to stay over easter, still have an absolutely full freezer ( no room for another thing) and at the present time we, are not too far off the £200 a month I like to stick to when we dont have guests. The new oven doesnt arrive until next Wednesday so I cant do any baking until then either. All in all not too bad. 😊craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

£145 spent on the weekly shop after a thorough review of what we had in.
I'm not sure who asked but son is very fussy and has sensory issues and multiple severe allergies. So we don't always eat the same meals. I try to do a few a week where we're all having the same or similar so I don't go completely mad!
Had a couple top up shops last week I also need to add to my signature.7 -
I've used some money off vouchers this week which has meant I've been able to avoid the dreaded BIG shop. I had £3, £1 and 50p off at the coop so we bought some salad, veggies, bananas and YS strawberries and somehow a bar of chocolate sneaked into the basket. I also got a free punnet of grapes via my sparks card so definitely no scurvy here this week. I did, however, splurge on a salmon and crab meal from cook as an anniversary treat. We were going to go out for a pub lunch but decided that we weren't that fussed and preferred to stay home with a nice ready prepped meal and a glass of wine. We had the YS strawberries and ice cream (already in the freezer) for pud. I think I'll take the cook meal from our eating out budget.that means we have
£181 remaining to 30/49 -
Just added £37.73 for this week's supermarket shop; more than usual but it includes meat & frozen fish; I skipped the butchers, being short of time. I doubt whether I'll be able to stick to £20 for fruit & veg at the market tomorrow - but I will at least try!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8
