thanks TK, but the application asked for bank details, as the online tariff is DD; so don't know if I'm being processed or not.

At the end of the on-line application you should get an acknowledgement - after pressing the 'submit' button.

This gives a summary of the info. you have input.

It then takes around 10/14 days before they contact you (via post) to complete the application.

If you are concerned about this, give them a ring on:

    0800 015 20 29

They are better placed to confirm whether or not you are being processed.

apparently Powergen are swamped with online applications, and there could be a 2week delay before they get round to processing my application. Can't see them increasing the tariff, or they'll have a mass exodus straight after the max influx

My parents are thinking of going for this offer but I'm not sure whether the currys offer will apply as they are already with powergen (standard) for their gas - they would go for the energyonline tariff.

    Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks for the tip, had signed up to switch on Monday through EnergyHelpline but as still within 7 days so cancelled & signed up for same switch via Curry's. Was intending to buy one of these set top boxes for a present so hope it comes through before Christmas ::)

    Hi Kontiki

Getting the set top box by Christmas looks a little unlikely!

They say they will send out the freebies 4/6 weeks after the switch has been completed.

Did speak to somebody at Powergen who didn't even know about the offfer, she said it looks good, she also said they have quite a backlog as lots of people seem to be switching to them at the moment.

Just wondered if you change supplier to Powergen and get either the £40 currys vouchers or the freeview box can you also get cashback from Greasypalm. According to Greasypalm u get additional cashback

    Powergen
    £7.50 Cashback
Powergen offer electricity and gas – when switching to Powergen you'll get £30 cash back (from Powergen direct), plus up to 1000 Tesco Clubcard points – and 1 Tesco point for every £1 you spend on your bill.

oops just realised you can only have one or the other due to refferal link, oh well.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you
