No crackers at all in Swansea Sainsburys, cheapest cards were £1.00 for 20 small ones (pretty naff) and wrapping paper didn't seem to be reduced, but very little about.

What has happened? Have the stores decided to keep it all till next year?

I Suppose it varies by store. Some stores will sell out quicker. We still have allsorts of things at my store, but its all 1/2 price at the moment. Crackers are 75% and thats about it!
  • In Birthdays today the boxes of Christmas cards rrp £4.00, £5.00 and £6.00 were selling for 3 boxes for £1.00! The wrapping paper rrp £2.50 was 3 rolls for £1.00 too! They were all lovely quality but selling out fast.........! Good luck!

  • Roseby's had Christmas cards (Solihull and Sutton Coldfield branches) at 4 boxes for £1.00. Not bad quality - ideal for school and work. Eight boxes safely in storage with last years bulk buy.
  • paperchase have some really nice xmas cards in their sale - some are 50% off for a set of 24 cards. paperchase is usually a bit overpriced anyway so their sale isn't great, but they do really lovely and nice quality cards so you can splash out without splashing out too much :)

edit: as a price guide, i bought 24 cards for £2 (used to be £4) - they're small but really pretty

Got all personal family ones yesterday in card factory all with 75% off - got whole family and some money cards for less than £5.
  • Somerfield had half price cards yesterday but only a few boxes left at my local. I usually buy a box each for the kids to send to their friends as I make photo cards for the family. They love getting them but it takes hours to get the boys to sit still and face the same way!

They were buy 1 get 1 free before christmas!!!!!!! I looked at the same - wanted to get the same cards I'd got this year because I liked them, and they worked out exactly the same price. cheeky monkeys!
Yes they are VERY cheeky, I noticed this with the crackers, they reduced them to half price before christmas, and have left the exact same notices up in my local. Not much of a sale price IMO. Very good with the toys though all being half price and the perfume gift sets.

Got my cards in WHSmith yesterday, all boxed cards were 99p. Lovely cards, original prices were like £3.99 and £4.99 so am very happy. :)
