I've just been and brought my cards, I brought some in M&S, Sainsbury's and boots, all half price. I'm really pleased!

Found some crackers £1.98 for 12 instead of £3.99 @ WHSmith
cards all half price too, but only the expensive ones left eg 30 for £4.99. Similar card prices in Boots.

Could not get wrapping paper under £1.49 for 4 metres anywhere (boots, whs, m&s), so won't bother. If I can't get a bargain now, I'll go to the pound shop next xmas!

Tesco was really skimpy yesterday - no cards, only luxury crackers and duff wrapping paper; they did have some pink fairy xmas stuff for about 50p for 10 metres, but totally unsuitable for us!

TBH it was all very disappointing.

  • Picked up some gift labels from B&Q this evening - pack of 60 for 24p.

Must admit I was disappointed too, have the shops put the stuff away for next year or just didn't order in as much. I have managed to get some lovely cards for half price in the British Heart 'Foundation shop and a roll of princess wrap in Asda but thats it - I normally get all my family cards too but haven't found any - :(

if you're in Leicestershire Loros shops have cards at 99p a pack.

Was in B&Q just before Christmas and they had reduced all their crackers and cards by 70%. They also had some nice lights which were 70% off too.

They were buy 1 get 1 free before christmas!!!!!!! I looked at the same - wanted to get the same cards I'd got this year because I liked them, and they worked out exactly the same price. cheeky monkeys!

No crackers at all in Swansea Sainsburys, cheapest cards were £1.00 for 20 small ones (pretty naff) and wrapping paper didn't seem to be reduced, but very little about.

What has happened? Have the stores decided to keep it all till next year?
