Having had corruption problems with cheap branded cards I will only put sandisk cards in my Nikons. If you are using these in a camera and value your photos its false economy not spending the extra. I shoot weddings so its pretty important.
As for standard vs ultra/extreme its not worth the extra for most users as only pro dslr's take advantage of the read/write speed, you will notice no difference in camera although they will copy across to your computer faster with a relevant card reader.
http://www.mymemory.co.uk/ are also competitive.0 -
Just to add that if you don't know which type of memory card is compatible with your camera, phone, device, etc, then the mymemory.co.uk website has a good selector tool:

FWIW, While everyone is getting excited about 1Gb and 2Gb cards, unless you're shooting very high res. or RAW or something, I'd ALWAYS recommend several smaller cards over single large cards.
Fill a card with 800mb of 'cherished' 1mb snaps only to lose it or have it corrupt on you and you'll soon realise the false economy of buying large cards....0 -
Crucial has free delivery at the moment.

Crucial's prices change quite often, these prices were good as at 28/12/07.
Crucial are part of Micron Technologies they are the world's number one computer RAM makers. Sandisk are the worlds number 1 flash memory maker.
Sandisk charge £10 admin fee for their warantee returns. Crucial do not and even paid for my return postage for a 8 year old video card I returned under their lifetime warantee!
Crucial also ship Royal Mail Special delivery. Remember quidco for any purchases.
Also Play.com have excellent prices for most memory and their include FREE postage.
PC world will price match Play.com so there is plenty of choice!Seth.0
