How do I find the registration of the car I owned?

I went to fill in the form, but you have to have the registration of the car you owed. I have always had a private reg, which I transfer to each car I own. Can I use this or do I need to find out the actual reg of the car I had on finance? If so, how do I find this out?

You would enter the reg of the car you bought, before you moved the plate on.
