You can only be named on one version of Loyalty Saver at a time. I already have the first version of the Loyalty Saver (7%) so can't get this one
That sucks but at least you on a better rate.

I recently tried getting the latest Nationwide regular Saver issue but as I'm on the previous I can't have it yet.

Same thing for a YBS regular.

But I'm getting better rates from previous version so not end of the world just would have been nice to have them at same time obviously 😁.

I don't know if they still do but I used to have several Principality Regular Savings Bond issues going at the same time (had to close early but yeah) so it could/can be a thing.
I'm not sure about that. I currently have both the 7% and 5.75% versions of the YBS loyalty regular saver and have had them since they were each launched, AFAIK I'm not the only one to hold both simultaneously. I also checked with a couple of branches on the day the 5.75% one was launched and they both said you can have one of each version of the YBS loyalty RS.

In regards to your final point you can also still have one of each issue of the Principality regular savers.
Although you might be offered a new version of the same type of YBS account I'm pretty sure there's a thing in terms and conditions saying they can close the most recent one you have or similar so you aren't really supposed to have it although technically you might but then they still might close it.

    Unless I read/understood things wrong.

Sometimes terms and conditions aren't the best they can be.

With YBS I currently have the Christmas Regular 2024 at 6% and Loyalty Regular 2023 at 7%

But hey I might give it a go and see what happens.

    Thanks for the Principality info.
Principality iss 33 has been running along time no word of iss 34
I do wonder if they plan on having another soon, I started with an Issue 28 I believe

Off topic, but historically Principality tend to offer new issues when the base rate moves and as that hasn't happened for over 6 months now, it is probably the reason issue 34 has not appeared. I suspect when it does appear it will be near 5.50%.

Just to confirm this. I have both and opened them on the dates when they were launched.

The same with Principality, I was able to open all issues regardless what I already had.  Even opened Maturity Winter, which I wasn't qualified for because I closed the qualifying account a few months before MW was launched.

Clearly not the case with this new issue from Coventry.  I've tried and got the same "computer says no" message as everyone else who tested this offer for a possible loophole.

I've been with Principality for many years, no breaks, because they always offered competitive RS products. We'll see what happens next...

On a generic note.  I've never had such large proportion of my savings in RSs as I have now.

  • Do you think this account will still be available in a week? I'm "abroad" and would need to roam on my regular UK mobile to get access to my CBS account, the cost would be about half a year's interest.

If my memory serves me well it was available for around 2-3 weeks so there's a good chance it will be around in a week. I wouldn't leave it too long though.

    EDIT: Website says this:

How did you receive the text or phone call over WiFi if roaming is turned off?
