MSE Credit Club Why Transunion.

What's the Purpose of Credit Club choosing Transunion over Experian.
I personally have never referred to Transunion u.k. or Prev Call Credit.
Yet I've found MSE Credit Club referring to Experian report as useful tool.

It wasn't a choice as such. Experian are revoking third party access to their data. I assume to try and garner more paying subscriptions. MSE have moved to Transunion in order to continue to offer a service. As MSE was the only way to get free access to the full Experian data without requesting a statutory report we are now left with poorer access to our data, in general.

In the grand scheme of things it's a negative step. But decisions get made for financial reasons and you have to live with them.

Why do you think? Credit reference agencies charge for access to data, some are willing to pay for exclusive access to data for a particular purposes and they have to consider the revenue they generate from third parties -v- their direct to consumer offerings. 

Its simply a commercial decision based on what MSE is willing to pay -v- what others are willing to pay or sell for

Martin has nothing to do with this site... he sold out to MoneySupermarket years ago for a high 8 digit number and just licenses his name/image to be used by the site. He stayed on for a bit as an advisor but that also ended years ago

Credit Karma already gives free access to TransUnion data, so is there any point in continuing with MSE Credit Cub?

IMO not any more.  The only real reason was to get access to Experian free. No point having 2 ways to get TransUnion.

Only Transunion ref I know of was via checkmyfile.
Is their CRA similar personal Data to other Agencies.
