The requests for deeds is a huge red flag In my opinion….There must be more to this.If a customer brings documents in saying they have been asked to provide them, they probably take them in for them to be scanned and saved.

Who are "they"? If the bank staff, then that makes no sense.
Or does SAR mean something else?I find it very hard to believe that the same person answered the phone when the bank was called- if it was the bank it would have gone through to a customer service team.If they went into the branch and mentioned AML enquiries, the staff there would have known that it’s not something they should discuss.The Santander logo is widely available on line and anyone with basic skills and a colour printer could make a reasonable attempt at headed notepaper.0
