Looking For Advice On Getting A Telegraph Pole Providing Internet Investigated
Apologies if this is not the correct forum for this. If so please advise.
We had some bad storms
back in January which resulted to some damage to a very large
deciduous tree in my neighbours garden. A huge branch which is some
20 feet in length has broken off the tree.
As a result of the
above the very large branch is currently being suspended in mid air
by a combination of :
The lower branches of the tree it snapped off at one end.
By a telegraph pole in a second neighbours garden at the other end.
The neighbour to whom the tree belongs has a very large garden with multiple large trees on their property so it may not have been initially apparent to them the damage had occurred. This being the case I informed the neighbour to whom the tree belongs of the incident immediately and they said they would look at it.
At the moment the end
of the broken off branch suspended by the telegraph pole is being
held aloft by the pole itself and the multiple telephone/internet
cables running out from this pole to other houses, including my own.
Its entirely possible
during the next occurrence of strong winds the branch will move again
damaging the telephone/internet lines attached to the pole and
damaging my wooden fence which sits directly underneath it.
Its now seven weeks
since the damage occurred and I am not convinced my neighbour is
intending to do anything about the very large broken branch which
came off of their tree.
Is there a third party
I can appeal to to look at removing the branch from the telegraph
pole in order to preserve the telephone/internet lines attached to
it. Who is responsible for the maintenance of the pole in these
circumstances.
Thanks in advance.

I reported a leaning pole to our local council, anonymously via https://www.fixmystreet.com/ and BT came out within a couple of hours and straightened it !So you may want to try that instead !
