Just wondered if anyone has experience of using the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service regularly can share how long the parcels took in practice to deliver for them on average?

As an ex postie, in our office we had to prioritise the 24 and 48 hour tracked parcels before everything else (apart from special delivery) as the office was in trouble if we did not reach our targets. So as far as our office was concerned in 99% of the cases 24 hour and 48 hour were delivered in 24 hour and 48 hour respectively .1

Tracked24 has always been next day for me.
Tracked48, on the other hand, varies. Sometimes its 2-3 days, and at other times its been close to a week. Bear in mind, Tracked48 doesn't mean its a 48 hours service!1 -
Thanks for this. Would you say the longest its been for you is 5 or 6 days then?GadgetGuru said:Tracked24 has always been next day for me.

I've had a couple of RM48s that I can only assume went for a brief holiday en route and took about a 6-7 working days , but most of mine arrive in 2-4 working days , it's not a guaranteed service though.iwant2asave said:

I had 4 Tracked 48's collected on Monday, 1 arrived Tuesday, 2 arrived Wednesday and 1 arrived in NI today. Tracked 24 is always next day, even Sundays.2

Always 2-4 days for me, whether I'm the recipient or the sender. [But for fair context, most standard second-class parcels arrive in that time frame for me too.]1

Tracked 48 is my go to service at the moment. I don't watch my dispatches very closely, but I have sent at least 30-40 parcels with this service and haven't had anyone complain about any late deliveries.• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.1 -
Always longer than 48 hours as a seller0

RM48 Parcel posted on the 13th and delivered on the 18th but everything seems to be really slow arriving
around here. 1st and 2nd class small small packets are taking over a week.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1
