                    Hi all
First time user so hoping I do this correctly. I submitted a complaint to Volkswagen Finance in August 2022 in relation to commission. After months of being passed from team to team I received an email in December 2022 from their legal representative stating that all was fair etc and that their client considers the matter to be at an end.
I haven’t done anything since then.

Does anyone know if I can still now submit a complaint via the reclaim tool?
Or if not, can I escalate to the FOS given the extension to 15 months from date of final response?
Any help or advice very much appreciated.

You can do what you want but having already been told you weren't impacted why do you think you'll get a different response this time?
Will need to wait until September/October to see what the FCA decide before guessing if you are time blocked from the FOS or not due to your complaint 18 months ago1 -

VW have been proactively responding to people confirming they didn't use DCA in a lot of cases, you might be able to join this current issue but no guarantee they used the DCA model for your sale - they seem not to have done so in many casesBlondieB11 said:Hi all

You cannot complain about them paying commission as part of a sale as that is perfectly legitimateSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Thank you both.Their response confirmed I had been affected and a DCA model had been used but that details were included in the paperwork so it was therefore fair and reasonable.0

DCA could be used positively and negatively. For example, dealers lowering the interest rate to make the deal affordable (often offset by a lack of discount on the car). So, many people that have had DCA are going to be rejected as it lowered the rate rather than increase it. And that assumes that the FCA decides there is wrongdoing. That is not a shoe-in.BlondieB11 said:Thank you both.Their response confirmed I had been affected and a DCA model had been used but that details were included in the paperwork so it was therefore fair and reasonable.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
